Army, First Manassas, commanded a division under Magruder
in the Peninsula campaign, Seven Days, commanded Jones'
Divn/Longstreet's Corps at Second Manassas, fought well at
Thoroughfare Gap, South Mountain, Sharpsburg, September
1862 Maj. Gen.
Post War: Jones died in Richmond, Virginia of heart disease.
