War Service: 1861 in charge of military affairs for the state of Florida, April 1862 Brig. Gen., Departmental commander in Florida, Olustee, May 1864 transferred to Virginia, commanded Finegan's Bde/Mahone's Divn at Cold Harbor, Petersburg, Florida.

Post War: Lawyer, politician, cotton broker.
