War Service: 1862 Capt. in 8th Texas Cavalry (Terry's
Texas Rangers), November 1862 Col., Murfreesboro,
commanded 2nd Bde/Wharton's Cavalry Divn at Chickamauga,
Chattanooga, Knoxville, commanded Harrison's Bde/Hume's
Cavalry Divn in Atlanta campaign, Sherman's March to the
Sea, January 1865 Brig. Gen., Carolinas campaign.
Post War: Harrison returned to Waco after the end of the war, district judge, a Democratic Party Presidential Elector in 1872.
