Pre-War Profession: Graduated West Point 1848, engineering posts in Louisiana and Texas, resigned March 1861.

War Service: 1861 Capt. of engineers, staff of Beauregard at First Manassas, Peninsula campaign, command of Richmond defenses, chief engineer of ANV, August 1864 Brig. Gen., supervised defenses at Petersburg, Appomattox.

Post War: Emigrated to Mexico, superintendent of the Imperial Railroad.
