chief of artillery in Franklin's Divn. in Peninsula campaign, acting inspector
general in VI Corps, Savage's Station, November 1862 appointed Brig. Gen.
of Volunteers, chief of artillery in Dept. of the Gulf, Port Hudson, Red River
campaign, Fort Morgan, served on a retirement board.
Post War: Army service, staff duty.
