Divn/IX Corps at Spotsylvania, North Anna, Petersburg, performed well at the Crater,
wounded in the final assault at Petersburg, September 1865 promoted Maj. Gen.
of Volunteers, mustered out January 1866.
Post War: Railroad receiver, traveled
