Pre-War Profession: Graduated West Point 1834, served in Florida and on the frontier.

War Service: 1861 Maj. in 4th US Infantry, November 1861 Lt. Col. of 10th US Infantry, February 1862 appointed Brig. Gen. of Volunteers, served in recruiting depots and quartermasters department.

Post War: Army service in the Adjutant General's office, retired 1870
